This is the first in a series of shows hosted by the Huron Waves Music Festival in Exeter Ontario. Our special guest at this show will be Cindy Church.
This is the 6th Annual Stompin' Tom Birthday Celebration and as with previous years, we'll pulling out all the stops. Special guests will be The Good Brothers and Murray Foster. More to be announce later. For the first time, one hour of this show will be broadcast live on AM740 radio, 96.7FM in Toronto. Canadian rock and roll legend Robbie Lane will be the host. It will also be streamed on the internet.
This will be our second visit to this fabulous theatre, in the city where Tom earned his moniker, "Stompin". Note the 7:30 pm start! He penned many great songs in Peterborough and in 1993 was awarded the key to the city! Peterborough Postman is a Stompin' Tom favourite and we will indeed perform this song! As you can see by this photo, the setting couldn't be more perfect. It's amazing how many people show up with their lawn chairs. Free with admission to the park.
We're very happy that we are returning to this beautiful park, situated near Parry Sound on Georgian Bay. This is a Whiskey Jack show with a distinctly camping flavour added to the set list. The amphitheatre in the park is the perfect setting for this show. It's free with entry to the park.
