New Music Columnist from Whiskey Jack Headquarters

In the late 1970’s, Jim Norris, the publisher of a new national magazine called Canadian Musician, asked if I'd be on a panel at the very first “business of music” seminar.  It was an honour to present to a large gathering of Canadian music professionals.  Here we are, almost 50 years later, and once again opportunity from Jim comes knocking.

Through his friend Eric Alper, two weeks ago, Jim Norris asked me to write a regular column for his new online newsletter, “Canadian Musician Spotlight”.

I said “yes” and here is the first of what hopefully will be many more popular and well read columns about life as a Canadian musician.  This one is about something I have some experience with…writing a book.
