As our summer tour winds down (last show of 2017 at Port Dover on November 4), we can't help but think back on the fantastic fans we've met. Their kind words and robust applause feeds us every night.
This morning, I awoke to a Facebook message from a musician who learned his chops in post war England with the Beatles and others. I don't know much about his other than he lives in the Parry Sound area and attended our show last week. His name is Eddie Chippendale.
"Hello Whiskey Jack, just to let you know Duncan, having being in this busy for many years in the 60s and 70s and being a keyboard player with a band in the U.K. and played alongside with many other famous groups and bands such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones and such like, I must say the other night at the Stockey Center I was more than impressed by the talent that was displayed by the band, such a good blend of sound and showmanship, a delight to see and hear, cannot wait for your next visit to Parry Sound, take it from me I know what I am talking about having played with some of the best in the U.K. good luck to you all."
My reply to Eddie:
"Good morning Eddie. I want to send you a very grateful "thank you" for your kind words. This is a perfect way to start my day. You undoubtedly know what you're talking about and that is the icing on the cake you just baked for us."
