Videos of Whiskey Jack's shortened, yet Successful 2022 Tour of Eastern Canada

We wanted to stay in the Maritimes and play much more music but Fiona has other plans.  In spite of her unwelcoming behaviour,  we're determined to return in the spring of 2023 to finish what we started.

In the meantime, as we arrived in each of the towns we visited, Douglas John Cameron pulled out his camera and captured the flavours of the region.  What's not to like?  Fall in Eastern Canada, hurricanes aside, is a very special place.

First up, Port Hawkesbury Cape Breton Island.  It began a few days before we arrived.  Local DJ, Scotty O from 101.5FM, The Hawk called and interviewed Duncan, live on air.  That certainly helped draw a pretty terrific crowd.

Next up, an even larger Monday crowd propelled the band to a very high level.  Duncan got to meet fellow author (Stompin' Tom, The Myth and The Man), Charlie Rhindress.   Next time you're in Amherst, make sure you dine at Brittany's.  Very good!

Early on Tuesday, we hit the road and ended up in Tatamagouche.  Best name for a town in Nova Scotia.  Our great friend Cindy Church lives nearby and we had a great time hanging with her.  Marshall Feit at the Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre was a most gracious host.  We will return.

The next day, a 75 minute ferry ride across the Northumberland Straight brought us to PEI where a sold out crowd in Montague offered a warm and enthusiastic welcome.  Fiona however was building up steam and the next morning, the band scooted back to their home digs.
