As a lifetime "radio freak", spending countless hours as a young boy, hiding under the covers, searching for obscure stations in the middle of the night, listening for hours on my little (and quite shitty) transistor radio, I'm beyond thrilled and honoured to be invited to take part in a new "Stompin' Tom Channel" on Sirius/XM. It's in the works right this minute.
On Monday, SiriusXM Canada’s Director of Music Programming, Jeff Leake and I will talk about all things Stompin' Tom. If I don't mumble my words and spit out gibberish, some of it might actually be included in the programming.
I've been a subscriber to Sirius/XM from almost it's inception. I listen to something every day. Nancy Sinatra's weekly show on Siriusly Sinatra and Willie's Roadhouse are on my "favourites" list. However, the best programming might be the specialty channels that appear from time to time...Dylan, Springsteen, BJ Thomas, Billy Joel, Carly Simon, Fleetwood Mac and on and on. This makes for very interesting, entertaining and personal radio.
And now, there will be a Stompin' Tom channel!
This special station is being produced in conjunction with a new release coming from Tom's record label, Anthem Entertainment. They recently announced that “Unreleased Songs From The Vault Collection Vol 4: Let’s Smile Again” will be available on June 25, 2021.
